Megan joins the Growth Guides team as Social Media and Marketing Assistant

Growth Guides is delighted that Megan Gillespie has joined the team as a Social Media and Marketing Assistant as part of the Government’s Kickstart programme. Here’s what Megan has to say..

I am excited to now be a part of the Growth Guides team, where I’ll be working alongside Holly, Tony, Ellie and Cody. Here’s a little bit about myself..

Who am I?

As a child, I was always up for a good time and had a lot of fun. In high school, I took art, drama, and music very seriously though. This is why I chose to continue them in college, as well as in my day to day life.

Creative Skills

Early on, it became clear that I engaged more with creative projects than with academic ones. Constantly finding new things to try has always excited me, whether it’s new forms of art, decorating, or learning a new instrument. I play guitar and piano, and sing around the house constantly. Some other creative outlets I enjoy are painting and detailed drawing. It’s hard, but overcoming barriers (like a creative block or a mistake) makes it all the more rewarding when I finish my work and am proud of the outcome

Spare Time

In my free time, when I can relax, I don’t mind spending the evening in front of the PlayStation and getting lost in another world while munching Domino’s pizza. As productive as that sounds, in the day I try to get out and about. Going on nature walks with my son, watching him throw sticks off the bridge into the river, and saying hello to every dog that walks by.

World Travels

Like most people, I love travelling and seeing new cultures. So far I’ve only been to France, Turkey and India. Even though I haven’t been able to go everywhere I’d like to (yet!) One day, I would love to go to Africa, Greece and Peru. 

Looking forward

I look forward to learning a lot of new skills and refining the ones I already have, so I can help Growth Guides and our clients grow! I’m most excited about the chance to be creative and contribute ideas to the Growth Guides team and their clients. I hope I can do this while learning new skills and supporting Holly and Tony wherever they need it.
