So what’s this Growth Guides thing all about then?
People have been asking about Growth Guides and what we will be doing, so here’s a quick overview…
The idea for Growth Guides is pretty simple: we want to work with amazing people doing worthwhile things.
We’ll help them scale rapidly by coming in-house and building the marketing function they need for quick results and long term sustainability. We bring loads of experience, creativity and enthusiasm. It’s what we both did at Lightfoot, and exactly what Tony did for Red Bull, his own agencies and other clients.
What makes us different?
When a business is scaling it needs to get its marketing right. But hiring a heavyweight to join the team is incredibly difficult and expensive. The skillset needed is hard to find and what someone needs today might be very different in a month’s time. Alternatively, they can hire an agency, but agencies are only as good as the people managing them. So you are back to square one.
We resolve this problem in a completely unique way: we come in-house for as long as it takes with the aim of delivering exactly the services and support required.
As well as our own experience, we have an amazing network of expert contacts we can make use of as and when required. We help with strategy, positioning, activity plans, creative development, agency selection and management, recruitment, training, culture, and much more.
The aim, right from the outset, is to make ourselves surplus to requirements as soon as we can and leave the client with the brand, activity programme, team, skills and support they need for long-term success.
Pay for results
And we are so confident in what we can do, we’re prepared to take a chunk of our remuneration based on the future success of the businesses we work on. That means less impact on cash flow, far more flexibility, and the certainty that our intentions are fully aligned with the client’s own.
